Sharks V Dragons 21st August 2005

Sussex Sharks V South Wales Dragons BBS National Cricket League Division 1

Report by Ian Morris

The title decider, 21/8 at Blackstone lane

Sussex won the toss and elected to field, needing to bowl Dragons out for less than 49.

Didnt happen, 1st wicket went down with no score, and the 2nd with just 17 after Wood was caught behind off a deflection.

Then Mr Corrigan arrived, he departed 132 runs later to a magnificent catch in the deep by Andy Burchell. Supported along the way by a gritty 27 from Phil Dutton and 11 from Howard Greenhill, but it was Damions Day.

Dragons declared @ 214 for 6, leavung Sussex 28 overs to get them.

The Sussex innings was another destruction by the Dragons bowling attack, Damion led the way again with 3 for 5 and a catch, the B1 pairing of Keryn Seal (2 for 20) and Andy Law (2 for 11) bowled very well getting good pace and turn. Sussex folded to 56 all out.

The title is Dragons, and Sussex now look likely to finish 3rd, unless London are able to upset Metro next week, GO LONDON!!!
